Paris:EROS TIMES: Her Excellency Brune Poirson, Minister of State for Ecological and Inclusive Transition, of France, called on the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the Delhi Secretariat on Friday evening.
The French Minister was accompanied by the Ambassador of France to India Emmanuel Lenain to the Delhi Secretariat.
The visiting Minister invited the Delhi Chief Minister to France, who accepted the invitation and said he will visit after the Delhi Assembly elections in February next year.
She asked the French Ambassador to follow-up on the issue with concerned authorities.
The Chief Minister was joined by the Environment and Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot during the meeting.
H.E. Poirson asked the Chief Minister about the initiatives in Education, Health and other sectors reformed by the Delhi government.
The visiting minister told the Chief Minister that she had been following his journey since the anti-corruption movement days and was in India, when he had launched his political party around seven years back.
She inquired about the Chief Minister’s political journey so far and the difference in his life from the days of government job to activism.
Kejriwal replied that working for public welfare gives him immense satisfaction and he enjoys working for long hours.
H.E. Poirson said she feels the political journey of the Delhi chief Minister has many similarities with that of the President of France Emmanuel Macron.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister requested the French government to help Delhi in redesigning its roads and solving the solid waste management issues, to which the visiting minister responded by stating that her government is more than keen to help Delhi.
