Mumbai:EROS TIMES: India’s exclusive India-centric Hindi Infotainment channel – EPIC is launching Season 2 of its popular and acclaimed original series Sharanam- Safar Vishwas Ka. Sharanam Season 2 continues to take viewers on a poignant journey to some of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India to have viewers experience pilgrim’s faith, trust, and connections with their God. Beginning July 24, airing every Tuesday at 10 pm, the series showcases testimonies and personal anecdotes that are the bedrock of the belief that fuels and nourishes people as they visit various places of worship to connect with the supreme.
Garnering an encouraging response in its first season as it traversed across pilgrimage destinations like Somnath in Gujarat, Velankanni in Tamil Nadu, Hemis Monastery in Ladakh, Kamakhya in Guwahati etc., while uncovering stories that evoke faith and worship among devotees and the oral traditions that they keep alive, the new season of Sharanam is set to offer glimpses of many more destinations including Nakoda Bhairav, and Bhrama temple, in Rajasthan, Hazur Sahib in Maharashtra, Daksh Mahadev in Haridwar etc.
Speaking about the new season, Akul Tripathi, Content and Programming Head, EPIC TV, said, We have maintained an unconventional approach to this series. Our attempt has been to take viewers on a virtual pilgrimage to some of the most revered destinations in India and keeping the experience as close to real as possible with each episode being driven by the experiences, memories and stories of the visiting pilgrims. Premiering on July 24th, the first episode this season takes viewers to Ganpatipule – a quaint hamlet that lies along the beautiful Konkan coastline of Maharashtra. It is believed to be the abode of a self-manifested idol of Lord Ganesha. Worshipped as the eternal guardian of the entire western region of India, the Ganesha idol here is said to be about 400 years old. Thousands of devotees who throng the Ganpatipule temple every year have one thing in common – the everlasting faith that even a small glimpse of their beloved Lord Ganpati can bring them peace and happiness.
