EROS TIMES: A solo exhibition of oil paintings “Hear the Silence” by renowned artist Prof. Jyoti Nagpal, Professor (Honorary) at Amity School of Fine Arts and Advisor, Amity Art Foundation was inaugurated by Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan , Founder Chairman, Amity Education Group , Shri N. N. Vohra, former Governor of Jammu & Kashmir and Shri Shyam Saran, Chairman, India International Centre and former Foreign Secretary, Government of India, today at Bikaner House, Delhi. The exhibition is being held from 28 September to 1 October 2024 .
While inaugurating the exhibition, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder Chairman, Amity Educational Group said, “I am very happy to inaugurate the exhibition as it showcases beautiful artworks of Prof. Jyoti Nagpal , who is an extremely talented artist. Art refreshes our body , mind and soul and this exhibition has really mesmerized us and my heartiest congratulations to Prof. Nagpal for creating such masterpieces. Art in life is not only a medium of expression but also a medium to inspire and motivate people. This painting makes us feel closer to nature.”
Former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Shri N.N. Vohra while praising the paintings said that Prof. Jyoti Nagpal has presented nature in a unique way through her paintings. There is a close relationship between nature and artist which only artist understands or his paintings explain to us. Prof. Jyoti Nagpal has depicted the beauty of nature in a wonderful way through her paintings.
Talking about her artworks, Prof. Jyoti Nagpal said , I love the dense foliage and its changing colors in different seasons , which for me symbolize the eternal cycle of life. This collection of paintings is an attempt to depict the beauty of nature as I see and understand it. For me , nature represents motion, perfection, warmth and harmony , which I have tried to depict through my artworks. The appreciation from the guests has infused a new enthusiasm in me .
Appreciating the artefacts on display , Ms Sunita Bali, Design Adviser, Ministry of Textiles said that the artefacts depict nature in its purest form. My heartiest appreciation goes to Prof Jyoti Nagpal for bringing together this excellent exhibition which is indeed a delight for all art lovers.
The exhibition showcased 50 beautiful artworks including A Sunny Autumn Day, Winter Cover , Fall Foliage , Trout Stream , Edge of the Forest , Lily Pond , After the Rain and Quivering Anticipation etc. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Mr Ajay Chauhan, Trustee, Ritnand Balveer Education Foundation , Dr A K Nagpal , Honorary President, Amity Pacific Forum , Dr Pradeep Joshi, Group Additional Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University, senior faculty and heads of Amity University , teachers from Amity schools and art lovers.
